  • Enforce workplace health and safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety inspections; ensure staff follow PPE, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics protocols.
  • Liaise with claims, insurance, and legal teams to support damage claims, provide inspection evidence, and participate in settlement negotiations when necessary.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices; update inspection protocols and staff training to reflect new rules, international conventions, and carrier requirements.
  • Drive process optimization projects (layout changes, automation, digital forms, handheld scanning integration) to reduce manual paperwork, improve traceability, and enhance data quality.
  • Oversee hazardous/temperature‑sensitive cargo processing, including cold chain verification, temperature log review, and temperature control device checks for pharmaceuticals and perishable goods.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities at the team level: track overtime, equipment expenses, materials (seals, forms), and recommend budget adjustments to senior management.
  • Act as the on‑duty subject matter expert for escalations, audits, and customer site visits; present inspection findings, corrective action plans, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with security programs (C-TPAT, AEO, ISPS) and coordinate security inspections, access control, and personnel vetting in collaboration with facility security officers.
