Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute a multi-year procurement strategy aligned with corporate goals, delivering measurable cost savings, value creation, and supplier innovation while ensuring continuity of supply across all categories and geographies.
- Lead strategic sourcing programs for direct and indirect spend, including category strategy development, competitive bidding, RFP/RFQ design, total cost of ownership analysis, and supplier selection decisions that optimize quality, service, risk and cost.
- Build and oversee a global supplier relationship management program that segments suppliers by strategic importance, governs performance KPIs, manages business continuity plans, and drives collaborative innovation with strategic suppliers.
- Own enterprise procurement policy, governance and compliance frameworks; ensure adherence to ethical sourcing principles, regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and audit readiness across all procurement activities.
- Direct the negotiation and management of complex, high-value contracts including master service agreements, framework agreements, supplier SLAs, licensing agreements, and strategic joint ventures to secure favorable commercial terms and mitigate legal and commercial risk.
- Drive procurement transformation and digitalization initiatives—selecting and implementing eProcurement, contract lifecycle management (CLM) and spend analytics platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, Jaggaer) to increase automation, visibility and process efficiency.

- Oversee strategic inventory and working capital initiatives with Supply Chain and Finance—implementing vendor-managed inventory, consignment, and demand smoothing strategies to reduce cash cycle and improve fulfillment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on market conditions, raw material price volatility, trade policy changes, tariffs and sanctions that impact procurement strategy and corporate risk.
- Drive enterprise-wide change management for procurement initiatives, securing executive sponsorship, stakeholder buy-in, and clear communication plans to ensure adoption and sustainable behavioral change.
