Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year corporate communications strategy that aligns messaging with organizational goals, supports product launches, investor relations, employer brand initiatives, and enhances overall reputation across target markets.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of media relations, including cultivating and maintaining relationships with national and trade journalists, proactively pitching stories, securing high-quality placements, coordinating interviews, and measuring media impact to drive earned coverage.
  • Design and run proactive public relations campaigns and integrated communications programs (earned, owned, paid), setting objectives, KPIs, timelines, target audiences, creative concepting, and measurement frameworks that demonstrate ROI.
  • Own crisis communications planning and rapid-response execution: develop playbooks, align internal stakeholders, draft holding statements and Q&As, coordinate legal and executive approvals, and manage 24/7 incident communications during reputation or operational risks.
  • Provide strategic counsel and speechwriting for C-suite executives and board members, preparing briefing materials, key messages, speeches, op-eds, and media talking points that are persuasive, on-brand, and tailored to audience and channel.
  • Oversee internal communications strategy and execution to support employee engagement, change management, mergers & acquisitions, and major organizational initiatives—ensuring consistent, transparent, and timely messaging across channels.
  • Lead content strategy and production across owned channels (website, blog, newsletters), ensuring SEO-optimized thought leadership, case studies, bylines, and executive content that drives organic visibility and lead generation.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing communications team including media relations, internal communications, digital content, social media, and corporate events; recruit top talent and create professional development plans.
  • Develop and manage the annual communications budget, allocate spend across agencies, platforms, and campaigns, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective delivery of programs.
  • Establish and implement brand messaging frameworks and corporate positioning that differentiate the organization in the marketplace, ensure consistency across products and business units, and support marketing and sales objectives.
  • Lead social media strategy and governance, including content calendars, community management escalation processes, social listening, influencer relationships, and paid social amplification aligned to corporate priorities.
  • Oversee reputation monitoring and measurement programs using media monitoring, social listening, and analytics tools; produce regular reporting to senior leadership and use insights to iterate strategy.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
