Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead feasibility studies and technical due diligence for proposed developments, evaluating constructability, regulatory constraints, site conditions, and high-level cost and schedule implications to advise owners and lenders on project viability.
  • Prepare detailed pre-construction cost estimates, benchmark budgets, and elemental cost breakdowns using industry-standard methods and historical data to support business cases, financing and design decisions.

  • Administer and negotiate construction contracts and subcontracts (FIDIC, NEC, AIA, bespoke forms), including drafting terms, risk allocation, bond and insurance requirements, and advising clients on contract selection.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and cost forecasts; track committed costs, variations and allowances, produce cost-to-complete analyses and recommend corrective actions to maintain budget discipline.

  • Deliver value engineering workshops with design and contractor teams to identify scope, materials and sequencing alternatives that reduce cost or improve lifecycle performance without reducing functionality.
  • Provide construction closeout, commissioning, handover and defects liability support: prepare punch lists, witness testing, compile O&M manuals and advise on final acceptance and retention release.
  • Prepare and present clear, executive-level reports and presentations for boards, lenders and investors summarizing technical status, cost/schedule forecasts, risk posture and recommended actions.
  • Train client teams, junior consultants and on-site staff on best-practice construction controls, contractual management and quality assurance techniques to elevate organizational capability.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
