Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead end-to-end UX process for digital products: identify user and business problems, conduct user research, synthesize insights, define user journeys and information architecture, and deliver interaction models and final UI specifications that improve user outcomes and key product metrics.
  • Plan, design, and execute qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, contextual inquiries, surveys, analytics-driven behavior analysis) to validate assumptions and inform feature direction across web and mobile platforms.
  • Create and iterate wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and interactive mockups (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Principle) that demonstrate user flows, edge cases, and micro-interactions for stakeholder reviews and usability testing.
  • Design intuitive interaction patterns and component behavior, specifying animation, transition timing, and microcopy to enhance usability and delight while maintaining consistency with the design system.
  • Maintain and extend a scalable design system: create, document, and enforce component usage, design tokens, accessibility patterns, and responsive rules to accelerate engineering delivery and product consistency.
  • Conduct and moderate usability testing (remote and in-person), synthesize results, prioritize usability issues, and translate findings into actionable design changes and clear recommendations for product and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers to define product requirements, success metrics (activation, retention, conversion), and acceptance criteria; align UX deliverables to measurable business outcomes and roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with engineering to provide detailed UI specs, redlines, assets, and design QA; support sprint planning and ensure designs are implemented to meet accessibility, performance, and platform constraints.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG 2.x standards), run accessibility audits, recommend remediations, and ensure keyboard and screen-reader support across critical flows.
  • Analyze user behavior using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and experiment frameworks to identify friction points, design A/B tests, and measure the impact of design changes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops (design sprints, journey mapping, co-creation sessions) to align stakeholders, accelerate ideation, and ensure decisions are grounded in user insights.
  • Create clear, persuasive design artifacts and documentation (user personas, journey maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, annotated wireframes) to maintain design rationale and support product discovery.
  • Translate business requirements and technical constraints into pragmatic, tested interaction solutions while balancing usability, performance, and time-to-market considerations for both consumer and enterprise products.
  • Mentor junior designers and interns by providing design feedback, establishing best practices, and nurturing design craft, research methods, and career development within the team.
  • Drive mobile-first and responsive design strategies: create breakpoints, adaptive patterns, and touch-target guidelines to deliver consistent experiences on phones, tablets, and desktop.
  • Own prioritized UX backlog items in agile workflows: break down features into deliverable tasks, provide estimates, and participate in sprint ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of UX milestones.
  • Create and maintain prototypes used for stakeholder demos, investor presentations, and internal training to articulate product vision and anticipated user experience.
  • Balance quantitative data and qualitative insights to identify high-impact opportunities for product optimization, crafting hypotheses, and running rapid iterative experiments to test those hypotheses.
  • Build relationships with customer success, sales, and support teams to surface recurring user problems, inform product decisions, and iterate on onboarding, help flows, and in-product guidance.
  • Ensure all UX deliverables align with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual design language while pushing for continual improvements that enhance conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Prepare and present UX recommendations and roadmaps to senior leadership, translating user-centered findings into strategic priorities and business cases that secure investment.
  • Drive post-launch monitoring and iteration: review analytics, customer feedback, and bug reports to refine flows, reduce friction, and scale successful interaction patterns across product lines.

Secondary Functions

  • Support product discovery by conducting competitive analysis, heuristic evaluations, and market trend research to inform product differentiation and positioning.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree or postgraduate certification in HCI, UX Design, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field.
