Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Create and deliver polished live performances that may include lip-syncing, live singing, choreography, improvisation, comedy, and character-driven storytelling tailored to venue size, audience demographics, and event format.
  • Design, fit, maintain, and rapidly alter costumes and wigs to withstand frequent travel and nightly performances, ensuring safety, durability, and show continuity.
  • Develop and rehearse original routines, transitions, and character beats, collaborating with choreographers, musical directors, and technical staff to refine timing, entrances, and exits.
  • Execute professional stage management practices on the night of the show including prompt call times, quick costume changes, prop handling, and adherence to precise cueing for lights and sound.
  • Serve as an on-stage host and emcee when required: introduce acts, engage audiences, facilitate interactive games or competitions, and maintain show flow while adapting to crowd energy.
  • Build and maintain a distinctive personal brand across social media platforms—posting regular content, promoting upcoming gigs, and engaging followers to grow a ticket-buying and fan base.
  • Negotiate and manage bookings and contracts with venues, promoters, private clients, and festivals, including fee negotiation, rider requirements, and cancellation policies.
  • Coordinate travel logistics for regional and international bookings, including transportation of costumes and fragile props, visa paperwork when necessary, and overnight accommodation arrangements.
  • Collaborate with venue technical teams to create show-ready cue sheets for lighting, sound, fog/hazer, and special effects; test and confirm audio and lighting prior to performance.
