Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of the company's e-commerce website(s) on platforms like Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce.
  • Manage the end-to-end product listing process, including creating compelling product descriptions, optimizing imagery, and ensuring accurate pricing and inventory levels.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor on-site promotional campaigns, including the setup of discount codes, sale categories, promotional banners, and dedicated landing pages.
  • Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and sales data using Google Analytics and other tools to generate actionable insights and performance reports.
  • Execute and optimize digital marketing strategies across various channels, including SEO, SEM/PPC, and email marketing, to drive qualified traffic and increase conversions.
  • Manage the entire online order lifecycle, from processing and coordinating with fulfillment partners (like 3PLs) to ensuring timely shipping and delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for e-commerce customer service escalations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and resolving issues effectively.
  • Monitor and manage product listings, inventory, and performance on third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.
  • Plan and execute A/B testing and other conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives to improve user experience and key performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain the e-commerce content calendar in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure a consistent flow of fresh, engaging content.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, and industry trends to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Manage and segment customer databases for targeted email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, automated flows, and promotional sends.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to answer key business questions regarding online performance.
  • Contribute to the organization's broader digital strategy and e-commerce technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and IT, to ensure a cohesive and integrated online brand experience.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies if working within a larger development or marketing team.
  • Liaise with external agencies and technology vendors to support various e-commerce functions, such as web development or digital advertising.
  • Assist in forecasting online sales and managing the e-commerce budget to ensure a positive return on investment.
  • Troubleshoot and report technical issues on the e-commerce platform, working with developers to ensure swift resolution.
  • Curate and leverage user-generated content, such as product reviews and social media mentions, to build trust and social proof.

Required Skills & Competencies
