Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle on the website, from initial setup and launch to categorization and end-of-life strategies.
  • Optimize product detail pages (PDPs) for conversion and SEO, including writing compelling titles, descriptions, and ensuring high-quality imagery and rich media.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze the on-site promotional calendar, including sales events, bundles, GWP (Gift With Purchase), and homepage features.
  • Utilize web analytics to monitor key site metrics such as conversion rate, average order value (AOV), bounce rate, and cart abandonment, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  • Curate and manage product assortments for key category pages, landing pages, and marketing campaigns to create a compelling and relevant customer journey.
  • Oversee and optimize on-site search functionality and product filtering to ensure customers can discover relevant products quickly and intuitively.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated cross-sell and up-sell strategies on product pages, in-cart, and throughout the checkout process to increase AOV.
  • Ensure the visual merchandising of the website aligns with brand guidelines and creates a best-in-class, visually appealing digital storefront.
  • Strategically manage product sorting and ranking within categories based on performance data, inventory levels, and newness.
  • Perform continuous A/B and multivariate testing on page layouts, content, and merchandising tactics to drive incremental revenue and enhance user experience.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to monitor competitor pricing, promotions, product assortments, and on-site user experience.
  • Own the taxonomy and categorization of the product catalog, ensuring it is logical, scalable, and customer-friendly.
  • Manage the collection, moderation, and display of customer ratings and reviews, leveraging user-generated content to build trust and inform product strategy.
  • Guarantee product data accuracy and integrity across the site by working with PIM (Product Information Management) systems and performing regular audits.

Secondary Functions

  • Collaborate closely with the inventory and planning teams to align merchandising strategies with stock levels, forecasting, and sell-through targets.
  • Partner with the digital marketing team (Email, SEO, Paid Media) to create cohesive, multi-channel campaigns with consistent messaging and product focus.
  • Work with the creative and content teams to brief and manage the creation of digital assets required for new product launches and promotional activities.
  • Perform regular site walks and quality assurance audits to identify and report bugs, broken links, and other user experience friction points.
  • Generate and present weekly and monthly performance reports to key stakeholders, highlighting sales trends, key learnings, and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay at the forefront of e-commerce trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital merchandising to foster continuous innovation.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • E-commerce Platforms: Proficiency in platforms such as Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Web Analytics: Deep expertise in Google Analytics (GA4) or Adobe Analytics for performance reporting and user behavior analysis.
