Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, execute, and continuously refine a comprehensive e-learning strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and talent development goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Lead the full instructional design lifecycle for all digital learning content, from conducting needs analyses and defining learning objectives to development, deployment, and evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across all departments to distill complex technical and business concepts into clear, engaging, and instructionally sound e-learning modules.
- Manage and own the relationships with external e-learning vendors, content libraries, and technology partners, including negotiation, procurement, and performance management.
- Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness, impact, and ROI of all e-learning programs, presenting data-driven insights to leadership.
- Design and develop a variety of digital learning assets, including interactive courses, instructional videos, simulations, job aids, and assessments using authoring tools like Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
- Champion and stay ahead of emerging trends, tools, and best practices in adult learning theory, instructional design, and educational technology to foster innovation.
- Manage the e-learning budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to maximize impact and achieve departmental goals.
- Lead complex, cross-functional e-learning projects, defining project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and communication plans to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Ensure all digital learning content is compliant with industry standards (SCORM, xAPI), accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and internal brand standards.
- Develop and implement robust marketing and communication strategies to promote e-learning initiatives and drive learner engagement and adoption across the enterprise.
- Create and govern a scalable framework for content creation, maintenance, and archival, ensuring the learning library remains current, relevant, and effective.
- Design and facilitate "train-the-trainer" programs to empower internal teams and SMEs to develop and deliver high-quality digital learning content.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of instructional designers and/or e-learning specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
