Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, implement, and lead structured team practices, drills, and scrimmages to improve tactical execution and in-game communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive Video on Demand (VOD) reviews of past matches and scrims to identify strategic successes, failures, and areas for individual and team improvement.
  • Develop and execute detailed, game-specific strategies, including map-specific plays, composition theories, and meta-adaptive counter-strategies.
  • Provide personalized, one-on-one coaching to players, focusing on enhancing their mechanical skills, game sense, decision-making, and role-specific duties.
  • Scout and analyze upcoming opponents, preparing detailed reports and tailored game plans to exploit their weaknesses and neutralize their strengths.
  • Lead the team during live matches, providing real-time strategic adjustments, managing timeouts effectively, and maintaining team morale and focus.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and professional team environment that promotes healthy communication, constructive feedback, and mental resilience.
  • Develop long-term player development roadmaps, setting clear goals and tracking progress to ensure continuous growth and peak performance.
  • Manage and coordinate the team's scrimmage schedule with other professional or collegiate teams to ensure high-quality practice opportunities.
  • Actively participate in the talent identification and recruitment process, evaluating potential players through tryouts, ranked play, and scouting reports.
  • Mentor players on aspects of professional conduct, personal branding, and managing the pressures of high-stakes competition.
  • Stay relentlessly current with all game updates, patch notes, and evolving meta-game trends to ensure the team's strategies remain innovative and effective.
  • Oversee the physical and mental well-being of players, working with sports psychologists, nutritionists, and physical trainers to create holistic performance plans.
  • Establish and enforce team rules, expectations, and codes of conduct to ensure a disciplined and respectful team culture.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive playbook of the team's core strategies, set plays, and tactical defaults.

Secondary Functions

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:

  • A proven track record of leading a team to significant tournament placements or championships.
