Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Act as the primary, dedicated point of contact for a diverse portfolio of prospective students, providing continuous and personalized support from the point of initial inquiry through to their successful enrollment and matriculation.
  • Conduct a high volume of proactive outreach to prospective students via phone, email, SMS, and video calls to build rapport, answer initial questions, and stimulate interest in our academic programs.
  • Expertly navigate applicants through every stage of the admissions and enrollment funnel, clearly articulating application requirements, deadlines, and submission procedures to ensure a smooth and timely process.
  • Perform in-depth needs assessments and consultative conversations with prospective students to thoroughly understand their personal, professional, and academic goals, and recommend the best-fit programs.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment goals and performance metrics by effectively managing a pipeline of prospective students and employing strategic follow-up techniques.
  • Develop and maintain a deep, comprehensive knowledge of all academic programs, curricula, student outcomes, and university policies to accurately advise students on their options.
  • Diligently maintain accurate and detailed records of all student interactions, application statuses, and relevant data within the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Slate) to ensure data integrity and facilitate personalized follow-up.
  • Host and facilitate engaging virtual information sessions, webinars, and one-on-one appointments to showcase the value proposition of the institution and its programs to a wide audience.
  • Empathetically listen to and address prospective students' questions, concerns, and potential barriers to enrollment, providing thoughtful solutions and connecting them with appropriate resources like Financial Aid or Academic Advising.
  • Skillfully and respectfully overcome objections from prospective students by reframing value propositions and addressing underlying concerns about cost, time commitment, or career outcomes.
  • Provide foundational guidance on the financial aid process, scholarship opportunities, and tuition payment options, directing students to dedicated financial aid counselors for in-depth assistance.
  • Perform initial reviews of application materials to assess candidate viability and provide constructive feedback to applicants to help strengthen their submissions.
  • Adhere to structured communication plans and outreach cadences designed to nurture leads at different stages of the enrollment journey, while also personalizing outreach for maximum impact.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including faculty, program directors, and financial aid officers, to create a seamless and supportive experience for applicants.
  • Facilitate a warm and effective handoff of newly enrolled students to academic advisors, orientation teams, and student success coaches to ensure a successful transition into the academic community.

Secondary Functions

  • Participate actively in weekly team meetings and training sessions to share best practices and stay updated on institutional changes.
  • Collaborate with marketing and program development teams by providing real-time feedback from prospective students to help refine messaging and program offerings.
  • Represent the institution with professionalism and enthusiasm at virtual and occasional in-person recruitment events, such as college fairs and open houses.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, serving as a mentor and resource.
  • Stay current with trends in higher education, enrollment management, and the specific industries related to the academic programs you represent to serve as a knowledgeable advisor.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • CRM Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Salesforce, Slate, or a similar platform for lead management and communication tracking.
  • Student Information Systems (SIS): Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft) is a significant asset.
  • MS Office & Communication Tools: High proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and virtual communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Admissions Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of the higher education admissions and enrollment funnel, from lead generation to matriculation.
  • Consultative Sales Techniques: Ability to apply consultative sales principles to guide students through a major life decision without high-pressure tactics.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
