Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead and facilitate complex requirements gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements for enterprise-level projects.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current-state business processes using techniques like process mapping (BPMN), value stream mapping, and workflow analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and present compelling business cases and cost-benefit analyses for proposed initiatives, providing leadership with the data necessary to make informed investment decisions.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and project managers to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and solution designs throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Create detailed and unambiguous documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
- Perform comprehensive gap analysis to compare existing system capabilities and business processes against future-state requirements and strategic goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain insightful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools (like Tableau or Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
- Query and manipulate large, complex datasets using SQL to perform quantitative analysis, validate hypotheses, and support data-driven recommendations.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, including creating test plans and test cases, to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
- Investigate and diagnose complex business problems, performing root cause analysis to understand underlying issues and recommend effective, long-term solutions.
- Evaluate and analyze the impact of proposed changes on enterprise systems, business processes, and organizational structures.
- Support the selection and implementation of enterprise-level software (e.g., ERP, CRM), including vendor evaluation and fit-gap analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to foster collaboration, drive consensus, and define future-state solutions among diverse groups of stakeholders.
