Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Spearhead the end-to-end talent acquisition process, from initial research and discovery of emerging and established artists to final contract execution.
- Develop and execute a data-driven, long-range entertainment strategy and booking calendar that maximizes venue occupancy, drives ticket sales, and enhances brand prestige.
- Conduct complex negotiations on all deal points, including artist guarantees, percentage splits, technical riders, hospitality needs, and marketing commitments to secure the most favorable terms.
- Cultivate and maintain a robust network of strong professional relationships with talent agencies, artist managers, tour managers, and industry executives.
- Manage and maintain multi-million dollar entertainment budgets, providing accurate financial forecasting, P&L analysis, and performance reporting to senior leadership.
- Analyze market trends, competitor bookings, and historical performance data to identify opportunities and make informed programming decisions.
- Route and evaluate a high volume of artist availability and offers, strategically placing holds and confirming dates to build a cohesive and impactful event schedule.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, PR, and social media teams to develop and support comprehensive promotional campaigns for each booked event.
- Oversee the entire offer and contracting process, ensuring all performance agreements are meticulously drafted, reviewed, and fully executed in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all booked talent, ensuring seamless communication and coordination from the booking phase through the day of the show.
- Evaluate and manage the complexities of technical and hospitality riders, working with production and operations teams to assess feasibility and cost implications.
- Actively scout for new and diverse talent by attending showcases, festivals, and industry conferences to stay ahead of entertainment trends.
- Prepare and present detailed show settlement projections and post-event financial reconciliations to ensure accurate artist payment and financial accountability.
- Assess potential risks associated with bookings, including financial exposure, brand alignment, and logistical challenges, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive ancillary revenue opportunities, such as VIP packages, merchandise deals, and sponsorships, in conjunction with booked talent.
