Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leading entertainment and media companies, guiding them through complex business transformations, digital shifts, and market disruptions.
- Develop and articulate comprehensive content strategies, advising clients on content acquisition, original production slates, and intellectual property (IP) portfolio management.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive intelligence research to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviors, and growth opportunities across streaming (SVOD/AVOD), gaming, film, and television.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support business case development, content valuation, M&A due diligence, and long-range strategic planning.
- Lead client-facing workshops and presentations, effectively communicating complex findings and strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and senior leadership.
- Structure and manage end-to-end consulting engagements, from initial scoping and proposal development to project execution, team management, and final deliverable quality assurance.
- Evaluate new market entry and international expansion opportunities for media clients, providing detailed analysis on regulatory landscapes, competitive pressures, and consumer readiness.
- Advise on optimal distribution and monetization models, including theatrical windowing, direct-to-consumer (DTC) pricing strategies, and content licensing agreements.
- Develop business plans and pitch materials for new entertainment ventures, intellectual property development, and strategic partnerships.
- Cultivate and manage high-level client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to ensure project success and foster long-term partnerships.
- Analyze the impact of emerging technologies like AI, VR/AR, and Web3 on content creation, distribution, and consumption, and translate these insights into client strategies.
- Lead commercial and strategic due diligence projects for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures within the TMT (Technology, Media, & Telecom) sector.
- Author and contribute to industry thought leadership, including white papers, market reports, and conference presentations, to enhance the firm's brand and expertise.
- Guide clients in optimizing their organizational structure and operational workflows to better support creative development and digital-first initiatives.
- Assess and formulate strategies for talent acquisition and retention, helping clients secure and develop the creative and executive talent needed to succeed.
