Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Greet and welcome players with a high level of enthusiasm and energy, setting a positive and immersive tone from the moment they arrive.
- Clearly and concisely explain the rules, story, and safety procedures for each escape room experience, ensuring all players understand the objectives.
- Actively monitor gameplay through video and audio feeds, providing timely and creative hints or nudges to teams to ensure a fun, challenging, and successful experience.
- Meticulously reset the escape room puzzles, props, and environment between each game session, ensuring 100% accuracy and readiness for the next group.
- Capture memorable moments by taking themed team photos after each game, encouraging celebratory poses, and managing the photo delivery process.
- Professionally handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing detailed information about game themes, booking availability, and pricing.
- Manage the booking schedule using our reservation software, including processing payments, handling cancellations, and rescheduling appointments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby, game rooms, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
- Engage with players after their game to debrief the experience, celebrate their successes, and enthusiastically discuss their favorite moments and puzzles.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on game props, puzzles, and electronic components to minimize downtime and maintain the integrity of the experience.
- Promote and upsell merchandise, future bookings, and special events to guests, contributing to the location's revenue goals.
- Uphold all safety and security protocols, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff, and calmly manage any unexpected situations or emergencies.
- Immerse players in the story by adopting a character or persona consistent with the theme of the escape room, both during the introduction and throughout the game.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions for bookings, merchandise, and other sales using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Execute daily opening and closing procedures, including system startups, prop checks, cash drawer reconciliation, and securing the facility.
- Collaborate effectively with other Game Masters and management to ensure smooth operational flow and a consistently excellent guest experience across all shifts.
- Assist with tracking and maintaining inventory of props, supplies, and merchandise, reporting any shortages or damages to the management team.
- Skillfully adapt communication style and hint delivery to suit diverse groups, including children's parties, corporate teams, and enthusiast players.
- Consistently maintain the "show quality" of all guest-facing areas, including lighting, sound, and overall ambiance, to preserve the immersive atmosphere.
- Act as the primary host for private parties and corporate team-building events, ensuring the event runs smoothly from start to finish and meets client expectations.
Secondary Functions

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range: 1-3 years in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, food service, hospitality).
