Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of all designated facility areas, including offices, lobbies, corridors, and other common spaces.
- Meticulously clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms, ensuring all fixtures, surfaces, and partitions meet high standards of hygiene.
- Execute detailed floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hard surfaces and carpeted areas.
- Operate and maintain specialized floor cleaning equipment, such as commercial vacuums, automatic scrubbers, and floor buffers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Gather and properly dispose of all trash, recycling, and other waste materials from internal and external receptacles, replacing liners as needed.
- Clean and polish high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, elevator panels, and handrails, to minimize the transmission of germs.
- Wash interior windows, glass doors, and partitions to maintain a clear, streak-free, and professional appearance throughout the facility.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of kitchenettes, break rooms, and employee lounges, including wiping down countertops, tables, sinks, and appliances.
- Proactively identify and report any building maintenance needs, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the shift supervisor for prompt resolution.
- Dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces, including desks, furniture, windowsills, blinds, and high-level fixtures, to ensure a pristine environment.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled, such as carpet extraction, hard floor stripping and waxing, and high dusting of vents and light fixtures.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to the established schedule and quality standards outlined in the cleaning checklist.
- Secure the building at the end of the shift, including locking all required doors and windows and activating the security alarm system per protocol.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of cleaning chemicals and supplies, notifying management when stock levels are low to prevent work disruptions.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Respond effectively to urgent cleaning requests and address accidental spills promptly and safely.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is thoroughly cleaned, inspected for damage, and stored correctly in designated storage areas after each use.
- Set up and break down conference rooms and event spaces, arranging furniture and ensuring the area is clean before and after use.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of building entrances and immediate exterior areas, including sweeping walkways and emptying exterior trash bins.
- Work collaboratively with fellow cleaning team members to efficiently complete all assigned duties and maintain a positive team environment.
- Follow specific cleaning protocols for sensitive or specialized areas, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Check and clean stairwells, elevators, and other high-traffic vertical transit areas to ensure they are free of debris and hazards.
Secondary Functions
- Assist with minor, non-technical maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or tightening loose fixtures.
- Provide cleaning support for special company events, meetings, or after-hours functions as directed.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and help organize janitorial supply closets for efficiency.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Proficiency in operating commercial cleaning equipment (e.g., auto-scrubbers, floor buffers, carpet extractors).
- Knowledge of various floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, sealing, and buffing.
- Understanding of proper dilution ratios and applications for a wide range of cleaning chemicals.
