Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to track and visualize event performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct in-depth pre- and post-event analysis to measure success, including registration funnels, attendance rates, audience engagement, session popularity, lead generation, and sales pipeline influence.
  • Analyze attendee behavior and journey data from various event platforms (virtual and in-person) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancing the attendee experience.
  • Develop and manage frameworks for measuring event ROI and attribution, collaborating with sales and finance teams to connect event activities to tangible business outcomes.
  • Present complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to establish data-driven goals and forecasting models for event attendance, engagement, and lead acquisition.
  • Perform audience segmentation analysis to identify target demographics and personas, enabling more effective and personalized event promotion and content strategies.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests for event marketing campaigns, including email invitations, landing pages, and promotional offers, to optimize conversion rates.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for event data, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all tracking systems and platforms.
  • Work with event technology and operations teams to define data tracking requirements and ensure robust data collection mechanisms are implemented for all events.
  • Monitor real-time event data streams during live events to identify potential issues, report on engagement metrics, and provide immediate insights to the event production team.
  • Create detailed post-mortem reports for major events, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data to provide a holistic view of performance and lessons learned.
  • Analyze survey feedback and sentiment data to gauge attendee satisfaction and identify specific areas for improvement in future event planning and execution.
  • Build predictive models to forecast key event outcomes and identify audiences most likely to convert, helping to focus marketing efforts and budget.
  • Integrate event data with other data sources, such as CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot), to create a unified view of the customer journey.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies for event data collection, analysis, and reporting to keep the organization at the forefront of event analytics.
  • Support the strategic planning process by providing data-backed insights on which event formats, topics, and regions yield the highest impact.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions from stakeholders into well-defined analytical projects with clear objectives and deliverables.
  • Automate recurring reporting and analysis to increase efficiency and allow for more time to be spent on strategic, deep-dive projects.
  • Document data sources, metrics, and analytical processes to create a shared understanding and serve as a resource for the broader organization.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced SQL: Demonstrated ability to write complex, efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Business Intelligence Tools: High proficiency in creating interactive and insightful dashboards using BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Data Analysis & Scripting: Strong experience with data analysis using Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
