Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute the comprehensive, long-term event strategy in alignment with the company's marketing and business objectives to drive brand growth and lead generation.
  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of events, including flagship user conferences, industry trade shows, roadshows, webinars, and exclusive executive functions.
  • Establish, manage, and reconcile complex, multi-million dollar event budgets, ensuring all programs are delivered within financial parameters while maximizing ROI.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of event managers and coordinators, providing clear direction, fostering professional growth, and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Oversee the entire event lifecycle, from initial concept and agenda development to venue sourcing, vendor negotiation, on-site execution, and post-event analysis.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for all events, delivering detailed post-event reports and strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including marketing, sales, product, and executive leadership, to ensure cohesive event messaging and goals.
  • Direct all aspects of event logistics, including registration, attendee communications, audio-visual production, staging, catering, transportation, and staffing.
  • Negotiate and manage high-value contracts with venues, hotels, technology providers, creative agencies, and other third-party vendors to ensure optimal terms and quality service.
  • Drive the strategy for event marketing and promotion, working with the marketing team to create integrated campaigns that boost attendance and engagement.
  • Champion innovation in event design and technology, continuously exploring new formats, tools, and experiences to keep our events fresh and industry-leading.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management plans, including contingency strategies for potential issues related to weather, security, technology, or public health.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling event content and programming, securing high-profile speakers, and ensuring a valuable and engaging experience for all attendees.
  • Manage relationships with key industry partners, sponsors, and exhibitors to create mutually beneficial opportunities and enhance the event ecosystem.
  • Ensure a seamless and positive on-site experience for all attendees, sponsors, and internal stakeholders, acting as the ultimate point of escalation and decision-maker.

  • Event Management Software: High proficiency with leading event management platforms (e.g., Cvent, Bizzabo, Splash, Hopin) and virtual event technology.
  • Project Management Methodologies: Deep understanding of project management principles (Agile, Waterfall) and proficiency with tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
