Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conceptualize and plan video shoots in collaboration with clients and event managers to fully understand the vision, objectives, and key deliverables for each project.
- Operate a variety of professional-grade cameras, including DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema cameras (e.g., Sony FX series, Canon C-series), to capture high-resolution video footage.
- Set up and manage multi-camera configurations for comprehensive coverage of live events, ensuring all critical angles and moments are captured.
- Expertly manage lighting setups, including key, fill, and backlights, to create a cinematic and professional look in various event environments, from dimly lit halls to bright outdoor settings.
- Capture high-quality, clean audio using a range of equipment, including lavalier microphones, shotgun mics, and external audio recorders, and monitor levels throughout the event.
- Direct and film interviews with event attendees, keynote speakers, and stakeholders, ensuring subjects are comfortable and responses are captured clearly.
- Capture dynamic B-roll footage of the event atmosphere, branding, attendee interactions, and venue details to enhance the storytelling and visual appeal of the final video.
- Utilize camera stabilization equipment such as gimbals, sliders, and tripods to produce smooth, cinematic camera movements.
- Live-stream events to various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook Live, custom RTMP servers) using switchers and encoding software when required.
- Manage the entire post-production workflow, including ingesting footage, organizing media, and creating project timelines.
- Edit raw footage into compelling narrative-driven videos, highlight reels, and promotional content using professional NLE software like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Perform advanced color correction and color grading to ensure a consistent, professional, and brand-aligned aesthetic across all video content.
- Design and integrate motion graphics, title cards, lower thirds, and other visual effects to enhance the final video product using software like Adobe After Effects.
- Mix and master audio tracks, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to ensure a balanced and high-quality auditory experience.
- Select and license appropriate background music and sound effects that complement the mood and pace of the video.
- Adhere to project deadlines and manage timelines effectively, delivering final video assets to clients for review and implementing feedback in a timely manner.
- Maintain, organize, and manage all video equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition for every event.
- Stay current with the latest video production trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously elevate the quality of work.
- Collaborate effectively with photographers, event coordinators, and A/V teams on-site to ensure a seamless and coordinated production.
