Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Direct and oversee the entire lifecycle of large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives from initial conception and business case development through to final implementation and post-launch analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, providing regular, transparent, and insightful updates on project portfolio status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Develop, implement, and govern a standardized project management methodology (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and best practices across the organization to ensure consistency and quality in execution.
  • Lead complex portfolio planning and prioritization processes, aligning project investments with overarching business strategy and financial objectives.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Champion and manage significant organizational change initiatives, developing communication plans and stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure smooth adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for all major projects, creating detailed dashboards and reports to measure value and return on investment.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with department heads, external partners, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and foster a unified approach to project execution.
  • Conduct comprehensive resource capacity planning and management to ensure that teams are appropriately staffed and not over-allocated across the project portfolio.
  • Drive the selection, implementation, and administration of project management software and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, MS Project) to enhance productivity and visibility.
  • Perform in-depth post-mortem analyses and lessons-learned sessions for completed projects to capture insights and drive continuous improvement in our project delivery processes.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and holding them accountable for deliverables.
  • Translate abstract executive vision and strategic goals into concrete, well-defined project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Act as a key escalation point for project teams, adeptly resolving complex conflicts and removing impediments that threaten project success.
  • Develop and own the master program schedule, meticulously tracking interdependencies between various initiatives to prevent unforeseen delays and conflicts.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to relevant compliance, legal, and regulatory standards, working closely with internal counsel and compliance teams to mitigate exposure.
  • Prepare and present detailed business cases for new initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and strategic alignment justification for executive approval.
  • Drive operational excellence by continuously evaluating and refining internal processes, workflows, and communication channels related to project delivery.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on portfolio management, helping the organization make informed decisions about where to invest its resources for maximum impact.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Agile & Scrum Methodologies: Deep expertise in Agile principles, with certifications like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Agilist being highly desirable.
  • PMP / PRINCE2 Certification: Formal certification demonstrating a strong foundation in traditional project management principles is strongly preferred.
