Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Operate and maintain a variety of industrial finishing equipment, including commercial-grade steam presses, hand irons, tunnel finishers, and form finishers, to shape garments and remove wrinkles effectively.
- Meticulously inspect finished garments and uncut fabric rolls for any production defects, such as snags, pulls, stains, dye inconsistencies, or sewing errors, prior to final packaging.
- Accurately read and interpret detailed production tickets and work orders to understand client-specific finishing requirements, handling instructions, and quality specifications for various materials.
- Perform comprehensive final quality assurance checks to guarantee that all products meet or exceed the company's rigorous quality benchmarks and client expectations.
- Carefully fold, hang, tag, and bag finished garments according to precise customer and brand guidelines, ensuring a professional and consistent presentation.
- Manage individual workflow efficiently to meet demanding production schedules and daily output quotas without ever compromising the quality of the finished product.
- Handle delicate and high-value fabrics, such as silk, cashmere, and technical synthetics, with extreme care and specialized techniques to prevent damage during the finishing process.
- Sort garments and textiles by fabric type, color, and specific finishing requirements to optimize the workflow and prevent cross-contamination or material damage.
- Use hand-steaming equipment to delicately finish and shape intricate areas of garments, such as collars, cuffs, ruffles, and pleated sections, requiring a high degree of precision.
- Evaluate finished products against pre-approved master samples to ensure consistency in shape, size, feel, and overall appearance across the entire production run.
- Apply specialized post-production treatments, such as water-repellent sprays, stain guards, or fabric softeners, using appropriate application techniques and safety equipment.
- Manage the flow of goods to and from the finishing station, ensuring a steady supply of work and preventing bottlenecks in the final stages of the production line.
- Operate calendering machines to impart a specific luster, smoothness, or embossed pattern onto fabric surfaces as per unique design specifications.
- Ensure all finished products are correctly ticketed with price, size, and SKU information, verifying accuracy before packaging.
- Prepare finished and boxed goods for shipment by labeling, palletizing, and stretch-wrapping products as needed, ensuring they are secure and ready for transport.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and report any machinery malfunctions, performance issues, or safety hazards to the department supervisor or maintenance team in a timely manner.

- Monitor supply levels of essential finishing materials, such as tags, bags, hangers, and treatment chemicals, and proactively report replenishment needs to the department lead.

Experience Requirements
