Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, manage, and meticulously oversee the comprehensive annual fair budget, ensuring strict adherence to financial targets, optimizing revenue streams, and controlling expenditures.
- Direct all logistical and operational aspects of the fair, including master site planning, traffic management strategies, parking logistics, utility coordination, and waste management.
- Source, negotiate, and execute contracts with a wide array of vendors, exhibitors, concessionaires, and entertainers, ensuring quality and variety that aligns with the fair's brand.
- Design and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and public relations strategy to drive ticket sales, maximize attendance, and enhance public perception and engagement.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health codes, safety ordinances, accessibility standards (ADA), and necessary operational permits.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and inspire a diverse team of full-time staff, seasonal employees, and a large corps of volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop, implement, and regularly test robust emergency, security, and crisis management plans in collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure public safety.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, corporate sponsors, government officials, media partners, and agricultural groups.
