Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Provide confidential, non-judgmental, and comprehensive contraceptive counseling to clients, covering all available methods, their effectiveness, risks, and benefits.
Conduct detailed patient interviews to assess their medical history, reproductive health goals, and social context to recommend suitable family planning options.
Educate clients on a wide range of topics including reproductive anatomy, physiology, and sexual health, with a strong focus on STI prevention, testing, and treatment.
Dispense contraceptives according to established clinical protocols, physician orders, and state/federal regulations, including those under Title X.

Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential electronic health records (EHR), documenting all client interactions, services provided, and clinical findings in a timely manner.
Ensure strict adherence to patient privacy and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA and other relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
