Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive fan engagement strategies to foster a positive, active, and inclusive community environment.

  • Act as the primary point of contact and public-facing voice of the brand within fan communities, including forums, Discord, Reddit, and social media groups.

  • Monitor, listen, and respond to fans in a timely, authentic, and on-brand manner, addressing comments, questions, and feedback.

  • Create and curate engaging, platform-native content (text, images, videos, memes) specifically designed to spark conversation and interaction within the fan base.

  • Proactively identify and build strong, lasting relationships with key community members, super-fans, and influencers to foster brand advocacy.

  • Plan, promote, and execute virtual and in-person fan events, including Q&A sessions, watch parties, online tournaments, and community meet-ups.

  • Manage and grow a fan club or ambassador program, including recruitment, communication, and fulfillment of exclusive perks and benefits.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, PR, and content teams to ensure a unified brand message and to amplify major campaigns and announcements within the community.

  • Track, analyze, and report on key community health metrics, including engagement rates, sentiment analysis, and community growth, providing actionable insights.

  • Gather, synthesize, and champion fan feedback, acting as the voice of the fan to internal teams like product, design, and content development.

  • Develop and enforce community guidelines and moderation policies to ensure a safe and welcoming space for all members.

  • Organize and manage community-focused contests, giveaways, and interactive campaigns to drive excitement and participation.

  • Create and distribute regular community communications, such as newsletters or blog posts, to keep fans informed and engaged with brand updates.

  • Stay current on emerging trends, new platforms, and best practices in community management and fan engagement to keep our strategy fresh and effective.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist the marketing team with event-based promotions and on-site fan activations.
  • Contribute to broader marketing campaign brainstorming sessions by providing valuable insights directly from the community.
  • Maintain and update a database of key influencers, super-fans, and community partners for targeted outreach.
  • Provide administrative support for outreach programs, including shipping merchandise and managing contest logistics.
  • Support the content team by sourcing user-generated content (UGC) and securing permissions for its use.
  • Monitor competitor community activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve escalated fan issues and ensure a seamless experience.
