Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Accurately take customer orders in person, at the drive-thru window, or via digital/mobile ordering platforms, ensuring special requests are noted.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process orders, handle cash, and execute credit/debit card transactions with speed and precision.
- Clearly and patiently answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, nutritional information, and current promotions.
- Prepare and assemble a variety of food and beverage items, such as sandwiches, salads, and drinks, according to established brand recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food orders are prepared in a timely manner, meet strict presentation guidelines, and are handed to the customer with a final quality check.
- Adhere rigorously to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, including proper hand washing, wearing gloves, and monitoring food temperatures.
- Operate standard quick-service kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, ovens, and beverage dispensers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage the flow of the drive-thru by communicating clearly with customers through the headset, coordinating with the kitchen, and ensuring swift service.
- Upsell and make personalized recommendations to customers to enhance their dining experience and contribute to sales goals.
- Address customer concerns and complaints with a professional and empathetic attitude, resolving issues promptly or escalating to a manager when necessary.
- Monitor food quality and freshness on the line, promptly removing any products that do not meet our high standards.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all team members and managers to ensure smooth restaurant operations and a positive work environment.
- Follow portion control guidelines precisely on all food items to minimize waste, manage costs, and ensure a consistent product for every guest.
- Assemble and package take-out and delivery orders with care, verifying contents for accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift, ensuring all necessary supplies are within reach.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain a clean and inviting dining area by regularly wiping down tables, cleaning condiment stations, sweeping floors, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Perform detailed cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment, food preparation surfaces, and utensils as scheduled or required.
- Assist with inventory management by helping to unload deliveries, rotate stock (FIFO method), and organize storage areas like the walk-in cooler and dry stock room.
- Execute opening and closing duties as assigned on the checklist, including prepping the station for service and performing end-of-day cleaning tasks.
