Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic accounts, providing expert-level pre-sales and post-sales support to guide customers from initial concept to mass production.
- Drive the technical sales process by developing and delivering compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) projects tailored to specific customer applications.
- Proactively engage with customer engineering teams to deeply understand their system architecture, requirements, and pain points to strategically position our solutions for "design-in" and "design-win" success.
- Develop and cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key technical decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers within customer organizations, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Master the art of on-site and remote troubleshooting, systematically debugging and resolving complex hardware, software, and system-level integration issues to ensure customer project timelines are met.
- Create and deliver highly effective technical training sessions, workshops, and seminars for customers, channel partners, and internal sales teams to scale technical knowledge.
- Author and maintain a rich library of high-impact technical collateral, including application notes, white papers, evaluation guides, reference designs, FAQs, and code samples.
- Serve as the critical "voice of the customer," gathering, analyzing, and clearly communicating customer feedback and competitive intelligence to product management and R&D teams to influence future product roadmaps.
- Collaborate strategically with the sales team to develop and execute on account penetration plans, identify new opportunities, and overcome technical objections during the sales cycle.
- Manage the technical qualification process for new business opportunities, including leading the response to the technical sections of RFIs (Request for Information) and RFPs (Request for Proposal).
- Provide hands-on assistance to customers during critical project phases, including initial board bring-up, system integration, software driver porting, and performance optimization.
- Proactively identify and champion new applications and emerging markets for our technology, expanding our addressable market and driving new revenue streams.
- Represent the company as a credible technical expert at industry conferences, trade shows, and technology seminars, showcasing our technological leadership.
- Define, build, and maintain customized demonstration systems and evaluation platforms that effectively showcase the value and capabilities of our product portfolio in a real-world context.
- Conduct in-depth competitive analysis and benchmarking, clearly articulating our unique value proposition and differentiation against alternative solutions.
- Manage and prioritize a dynamic pipeline of customer technical requests using CRM tools, ensuring a high level of responsiveness, follow-through, and customer satisfaction.
- Travel frequently to customer sites (regionally and occasionally nationally/internationally) to provide crucial on-site support, build relationships, and drive project momentum.
- Provide critical, real-world feedback on new products during the alpha and beta testing phases, helping to ensure a successful product launch.
- Work closely with marketing teams to review and provide technical validation for datasheets, product briefs, and other external-facing documentation.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer's end-market, including industry trends, regulatory requirements, and business drivers, to better align our solutions with their strategic goals.
- Facilitate regular technical review meetings with key customers to track project progress, address challenges, and identify future needs.
Secondary Functions

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Deep domain expertise in a relevant field such as embedded systems, analog/mixed-signal circuits, RF/microwave design, power electronics, or enterprise software.
- Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Shell scripting) for automation, testing, and creating customer examples.
- Hands-on experience with standard lab and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
- Strong understanding of industry-standard interfaces and protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, MIPI).
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout review tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD).
- Knowledge of system-on-chip (SoC), microcontroller (MCU), or FPGA architectures and their associated development toolchains.
- Experience working in both Linux and Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environments.
