Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, productive relationships with key decision-makers at retail locations, including store managers, department heads, and associates, to foster partnership and drive business objectives.
  • Execute a strategic route plan to conduct regular, scheduled visits to a designated portfolio of retail accounts, ensuring consistent brand presence and service.
  • Drive sales volume and market share growth within the assigned territory by effectively presenting programs, securing new product placements, and influencing reorder quantities.
  • Implement merchandising strategies by securing optimal product placement on shelves, building attractive displays, and ensuring all point-of-sale (POS) materials are current, clean, and correctly positioned to maximize consumer engagement.
  • Educate and train retail staff on product features, benefits, and key selling points to transform them into knowledgeable brand advocates and improve sell-through rates.
  • Perform detailed in-store audits to monitor inventory levels, prevent out-of-stocks, and ensure products are properly tagged and priced according to company standards.
  • Utilize CRM software to meticulously document all field activities, report on store conditions, track competitor actions, and provide timely, actionable market intelligence to the management team.
  • Independently manage and organize a daily schedule and travel route to efficiently cover the assigned geographic territory and meet all performance metrics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving in-store issues, addressing client concerns promptly, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Actively monitor and report on competitive activities, including pricing, promotions, new product introductions, and merchandising tactics, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure flawless execution of national and regional marketing promotions, securing incremental display space and verifying promotional compliance at the store level.
  • Confidently conduct business reviews and present new initiatives to store and district-level management to gain buy-in and support for brand objectives.
  • Serve as a professional and enthusiastic brand ambassador, embodying the company's values and mission during every interaction with clients and consumers.
  • Negotiate for and secure secondary product placements and off-shelf displays to interrupt customer traffic patterns and drive impulse purchases.
  • Review and analyze sales data and field reports to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the territory, and proactively develop action plans to address them.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new Field Representatives by sharing best practices and providing field-level support.
  • Represent the company at local trade shows, community events, and product launch blitzes to generate excitement and drive brand awareness.
  • Responsibly manage and report travel and business-related expenses in accordance with company policy and budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain all provided company assets, including a vehicle, laptop, and mobile devices, in excellent working condition and adhere to all company policies regarding their use.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to provide feedback from the field and contribute to the development of new programs and materials.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating a company vehicle and performing duties in various retail environments.

  • CRM Software Proficiency: Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) for logging activities, managing contacts, and reporting.
  • Territory Management: Proven ability to plan and execute an efficient route to maximize client-facing time.
  • Retail Merchandising: Strong understanding of merchandising principles, including product placement, planograms, and display building.
  • MS Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting, analysis, and presentations.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range: 1-3 years in a customer-facing role.

Preferred: Prior experience in a field-based position, outside sales, retail management, or merchandising is highly desirable. A clean driving record and valid driver's license are mandatory.
