Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive and detailed financial needs analyses with new and existing clients to understand their unique financial situations, goals, risk tolerance, and life objectives.
- Design, construct, and propose customized, long-term financial plans that encompass investment management, retirement forecasting, education funding, and insurance coverage.
- Proactively manage and rebalance client investment portfolios, making strategic adjustments based on market conditions, economic trends, and changes in client circumstances.
- Build and cultivate a robust client base through effective prospecting, networking, seminar delivery, and referral generation activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a dedicated book of clients, fostering deep, trust-based relationships through regular communication and proactive service.
- Educate clients on complex financial concepts, investment products, market dynamics, and the rationale behind recommended strategies in a clear and accessible manner.
- Monitor client accounts and financial plans on an ongoing basis, scheduling and conducting regular portfolio review meetings to report on performance and ensure alignment with goals.
- Stay abreast of and ensure strict adherence to all industry regulations, compliance standards, and firm policies, including FINRA and SEC rules.
- Collaborate with clients' other professional advisors, such as CPAs and attorneys, to create a cohesive and integrated wealth management and estate planning strategy.
- Analyze and recommend a wide array of financial products, including mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds, annuities, and life insurance, that are suitable for client objectives.
- Develop sophisticated retirement income strategies, including social security optimization, pension analysis, and distribution planning to ensure a sustainable lifestyle in retirement.
- Assist clients with complex financial decisions such as business succession planning, managing stock options, and planning for major life events.
- Utilize advanced financial planning software and CRM systems to model financial scenarios, generate reports, and meticulously document client interactions and progress.
- Provide expert guidance on tax-efficient investing and withdrawal strategies to help clients minimize their tax burden over the long term.
- Identify and address clients' risk management needs by evaluating and recommending appropriate life, disability, and long-term care insurance solutions.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, clearly articulating the firm's value proposition and service model.
- Guide clients through periods of market volatility with discipline and empathy, providing context and reassurance to prevent emotional decision-making.
- Actively participate in firm-wide investment committee meetings, contributing insights and analysis to shape overall investment philosophy and strategy.
- Mentor junior advisors and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and exceptional client service.
- Continuously expand professional knowledge by pursuing advanced certifications (e.g., CFP®, ChFC®), attending industry conferences, and engaging with financial literature.
Secondary Functions

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Financial Planning Software: Proficiency with tools like eMoney Advisor, MoneyGuidePro, or similar financial planning platforms.
- Investment & Portfolio Management: Deep understanding of asset allocation, modern portfolio theory, security analysis, and rebalancing techniques.
- Regulatory Licensing: Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses are required.
- Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, annuities, and insurance products.
- CRM Systems: Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce, Redtail, or Wealthbox to manage client relationships.
- Financial Modeling: Ability to create complex financial models and cash flow projections in Excel or specialized software.
- Tax & Estate Planning: Strong foundational knowledge of tax implications for investments and basic estate planning principles.

Education & Experience
Educational Background
Minimum Education:
