Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Drive the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles by collaborating with department heads to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Spearhead the preparation and distribution of comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis of actual financial results against budget and forecast, providing insightful commentary and actionable recommendations to business leaders.
- Execute critical month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and complex balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated financial models to support long-range planning, investment analysis, and various ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
- Manage and analyze cash flow, performing detailed cash forecasting and providing recommendations for optimizing working capital and liquidity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational projects.
- Oversee and streamline accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments, collections, and accurate recording of transactions.
- Assist in the coordination and management of internal and external audits, preparing schedules, providing requested documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, staying current on relevant legislation.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, translating complex financial data into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for management.
- Administer and manage corporate expense reporting systems (e.g., Concur), ensuring compliance with company travel and expense policies.
- Evaluate and improve accounting and financial reporting systems, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support capital expenditure planning and tracking by performing ROI analysis and monitoring project spending against approved budgets.
- Prepare detailed financial presentations and dashboards for executive leadership and the Board of Directors, effectively communicating financial performance and outlook.

- Support M&A activities by participating in due diligence efforts and assisting with the financial integration of acquired entities.
