Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Actively engage in a rigorous training and development program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, investment products, and wealth management strategies.
  • Diligently study for and successfully pass requisite licensing exams, including the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66, within a specified timeframe to become a registered representative.
  • Proactively develop and cultivate a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, community involvement, and targeted marketing efforts.
  • Learn and implement a disciplined client acquisition process, including initial contact, discovery meetings, and presenting the firm's value proposition.
  • Assist Senior Financial Advisors in gathering and analyzing client financial data, including income, assets, liabilities, cash flow, and tax status.
  • Collaborate with the team to construct comprehensive financial plans that address clients' goals, such as retirement, education funding, and estate planning.
  • Gain proficiency in using financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) to model various financial scenarios and create client-facing reports.
  • Shadow Senior Advisors during client meetings to observe best practices in relationship management, communication, and presenting complex financial concepts.
  • Gradually transition into co-hosting and eventually leading client review meetings to discuss portfolio performance, life changes, and adjustments to their financial plan.
  • Master the firm's investment philosophy and be able to articulate our approach to asset allocation, risk management, and security selection.
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the full suite of investment and insurance products available to meet diverse client needs.
  • Initiate and maintain consistent communication with clients to provide market updates, policy information, and ongoing service, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
  • Utilize the firm's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) to meticulously track client interactions, manage your business pipeline, and ensure a high level of organization.
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals and investment strategies to prospective and existing clients that align with their documented risk tolerance and objectives.
  • Build strong internal relationships with specialists in areas like insurance, lending, and trust services to provide integrated wealth management solutions.
  • Participate in client appreciation events and educational seminars to enhance client engagement and generate new business opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of current market trends, economic news, and changes in tax laws or regulations that could impact client portfolios and financial plans.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance, ensuring all client interactions and recommendations adhere to firm policies and industry regulations.
  • Set and achieve specific business development goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to new client acquisition and asset growth.
  • Provide exceptional, white-glove service to clients by responding to inquiries promptly and accurately, and effectively resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Licensing: The ability to study for and pass the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66/65 exams is mandatory.
  • Sales & Business Development: Demonstrated ability or aptitude for prospecting, networking, and closing new business.
