Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Architect and oversee the entire financial reporting process, delivering timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles, collaborating with department heads to develop comprehensive and realistic financial plans that align with corporate objectives.
  • Conduct sophisticated variance analysis and performance assessments, providing deep-dive commentary and actionable insights to senior leadership on financial results and trends.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust framework of internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Direct all aspects of cash flow management, including the creation of a reliable cash forecasting model to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, orchestrating the annual audit process to ensure a seamless and efficient engagement.
  • Act as a strategic financial partner to business unit leaders, providing them with financial guidance and decision support to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Construct and maintain complex financial models to support critical business initiatives, including new market entry, capital expenditure, and M&A evaluations.
  • Ensure unwavering compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting functions, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Analyze and interpret vast sets of financial and operational data to identify key business trends, risks, and opportunities for strategic growth.
  • Play an integral role in the corporate strategic planning process, providing essential financial input and leadership on long-term goals and resource allocation.

  • Support potential merger and acquisition (M&A) activities by leading financial due diligence, developing valuation models, and planning for post-merger integration.
  • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide a clear view of the company's financial health and operational performance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Financial Modeling: Demonstrated ability to build complex, dynamic financial models from scratch for forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis.
  • ERP System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • GAAP/IFRS Expertise: Deep and thorough understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex nested formulas, power query, and macros for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Proven ability to prepare and consolidate a full set of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows).
  • FP&A Software: Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and business intelligence (BI) tools like Anaplan, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Data Analysis & SQL: Ability to query databases using SQL and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful business insights.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
