Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Assume command and provide decisive leadership at emergency incidents, including structural fires, hazardous materials spills, technical rescues, and mass casualty events, to ensure the safety of personnel and the public.
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate the performance of assigned firefighters and crew members, providing regular feedback, coaching, and formal performance reviews.

- Manage all station activities during a shift, including daily schedules, public relations, station maintenance, and operational readiness checks.
- Direct and participate in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire apparatus, tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure they are in a constant state of readiness.
- Function as the initial incident commander on scene, establishing command, developing an incident action plan, and managing resources until relieved by a higher-ranking officer.
- Prepare, review, and approve detailed and accurate incident reports, training logs, exposure records, and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Respond to and mitigate a wide array of emergency situations, applying advanced knowledge of fire behavior, building construction, and extinguishment methods.

Required Skills & Competencies

Minimum Education:
