Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Deliver dynamic and engaging First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training sessions to a diverse range of participants, including corporate clients, community groups, and healthcare professionals.
- Effectively demonstrate life-saving techniques and skills using training aids such as manikins, AED trainers, and first aid kits, ensuring participants can replicate procedures correctly.
- Adapt teaching style and instructional materials to meet the needs and learning styles of various audiences, from complete novices to seasoned medical personnel.
- Evaluate participant performance through practical skills assessments and written examinations, providing constructive feedback and remedial instruction as necessary to ensure competency.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where participants feel comfortable asking questions and practicing hands-on skills.
- Ensure all training courses are delivered in strict accordance with the standards and guidelines set by certifying bodies like the American Red Cross (ARC), American Heart Association (AHA), or equivalent organizations.
- Manage classroom logistics, including setting up and breaking down training equipment, preparing the learning space, and ensuring all materials are available for each session.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all training equipment, conducting regular inspections, decontamination, and troubleshooting of manikins and AED units.
- Stay current with the latest updates in first aid protocols, emergency cardiac care guidelines, and adult learning principles through continuous professional development.
- Customize training scenarios and content to be relevant to the specific workplace or environment of the client, such as industrial, office, or childcare settings.
- Accurately complete and submit all required administrative paperwork, including course rosters, student evaluation forms, and incident reports, in a timely manner.
- Issue certification cards to participants who successfully complete the course requirements and maintain precise records of all certifications awarded.
- Respond professionally and effectively to medical incidents or emergencies that may occur during a training session.
- Promote a positive image of the organization while interacting with clients and the public, potentially identifying new training opportunities.
- Prepare and organize all necessary instructional materials, including presentations, student workbooks, skills sheets, and audiovisual aids before each class.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range: 1-3 years of experience in teaching First Aid/CPR, or 3+ years of hands-on experience as a first responder.
