Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive and innovative range of fitness programs, including personal training, small group training, and group fitness classes, to meet the diverse needs of the membership base.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of personal trainers, group fitness instructors, and other fitness staff, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Manage the fitness department's budget, including forecasting revenue, controlling expenses, and achieving or exceeding monthly and annual financial performance goals.
- Drive fitness revenue through the strategic promotion and sales of personal training packages, specialized programs, and other fitness-related services.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the fitness department, such as session utilization, revenue per member, client retention, and instructor performance, using data to inform strategic decisions.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and develop career progression plans for all fitness department employees.
- Design and manage the group fitness schedule to optimize class attendance, member satisfaction, and resource allocation.
