Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Execute comprehensive pre-flight safety checks of all cabin emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, oxygen bottles, and medical kits, ensuring full operational readiness.
  • Conduct thorough security searches of the aircraft cabin prior to passenger boarding, in compliance with all TSA and company security directives.
  • Provide clear, concise, and engaging safety briefings to all passengers, including a live demonstration of safety equipment and emergency exit procedures.
  • Proactively monitor the cabin throughout all phases of flight to ensure passenger compliance with safety regulations, such as seatbelt and electronic device usage.
  • Act as a first responder to in-flight medical events, providing first aid, CPR, or using an automated external defibrillator (AED) as required by the situation.
  • Manage and de-escalate passenger conflicts or disruptive behavior with professionalism and authority, ensuring the safety and comfort of all on board.
  • Execute established emergency procedures with precision and calm leadership in the event of turbulence, decompression, fire, or a planned emergency landing/ditching.
  • Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage safely and efficiently, ensuring all items are secured in compliance with weight and balance requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional in-flight service, including the serving of meals, beverages, and snacks, while catering to special dietary and passenger requests.
  • Operate the in-flight entertainment and communication systems, assisting passengers with troubleshooting and ensuring a pleasant journey.
  • Maintain constant communication with the flight deck crew, relaying important information regarding cabin status, passenger needs, or any safety concerns.
  • Prepare and secure the cabin for take-off and landing, performing compliance checks to ensure all passengers are seated, tray tables are stowed, and aisles are clear.
  • Provide specialized assistance to passengers with unique needs, including unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the airline's values through impeccable grooming, a positive attitude, and professional conduct at all times.
  • Accurately manage on-board sales of duty-free products, food, and beverages, utilizing point-of-sale systems and handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order in the cabin and galleys throughout the flight.
  • Complete detailed post-flight reports, including service summaries, inventory logs, incident reports, and maintenance requests for cabin equipment.
  • Remain up-to-date with all company policies, service standards, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations through recurrent training and continuous learning.
  • Adapt to a highly variable work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods away from home, often on short notice.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a diverse cabin crew team to coordinate tasks and ensure a seamless, safe, and positive passenger experience.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and be able to travel to all countries served by the airline.

Preferred Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of direct customer-facing experience in roles requiring a high degree of customer interaction and problem-solving.

  • Experience in demanding service environments such as high-end hospitality, restaurants, or cruise lines. Backgrounds in nursing, emergency services (EMT, paramedic), or law enforcement are also highly valued.
