Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct in-depth client consultations to understand their vision, style preferences, event theme, and budgetary constraints, providing expert guidance and creative suggestions.
- Develop and present comprehensive floral design proposals, including detailed mood boards, color palettes, and itemized quotes for client approval.
- Design a wide array of custom floral arrangements, such as bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, corsages, and large-scale installations, ensuring they align with the agreed-upon aesthetic.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of floral orders, from initial inquiry and proposal generation through to final on-site installation and post-event breakdown.
- Source and procure high-quality fresh flowers, foliage, plants, and other necessary supplies from a network of wholesalers, farms, and local growers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on floral products and hard goods, ensuring projects remain profitable and within budget.
- Oversee the receiving, processing, and conditioning of all incoming floral shipments to guarantee optimal freshness, hydration, and longevity.
- Maintain impeccable organization, cleanliness, and proper temperature controls within the floral design studio, work areas, and coolers.
- Manage all logistical aspects of event execution, including creating production schedules, coordinating delivery routes, and managing on-site setup and strike teams.
- Act as the primary on-site floral contact during events, overseeing installations and making real-time adjustments to ensure a flawless presentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of floral assistants and freelance designers, delegating tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of large-scale projects.
- Uphold the company’s high standards for design quality, creativity, and brand consistency across all floral outputs.
