Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, design, and create high-end, innovative floral arrangements for a wide array of clients, including weddings, corporate functions, private events, and daily retail orders.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their vision, aesthetic preferences, and budgetary requirements, translating their ideas into tangible and beautiful floral concepts.
  • Develop comprehensive and visually compelling client proposals, including detailed mood boards, design descriptions, and accurate pricing structures.
  • Source and procure premium-quality flowers, plants, and foliage from local farms, markets, and international wholesalers, meticulously managing supplier relationships.
  • Process and condition all incoming floral and botanical products to ensure maximum freshness, longevity, and quality, while minimizing waste.
  • Oversee and manage the complete on-site execution for events, including the transportation, installation, and breakdown of all floral elements and decor.
  • Maintain an expert-level knowledge of flower and plant varieties, including seasonality, care requirements, and regional availability.
  • Ensure all floral designs consistently align with our brand's established aesthetic, quality standards, and artistic direction.
  • Manage floral inventory, tools, and supplies, ensuring the studio is organized, clean, and operates efficiently at all times.
  • Accurately price arrangements, bouquets, and event florals based on material costs, labor, and target profit margins.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with event planners, venues, photographers, and other creative partners to ensure a cohesive and successful event execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site challenges or last-minute changes with professionalism and creative problem-solving.
  • Lead the construction of large-scale floral installations, such as arches, hanging arrangements, and floral walls, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, new design techniques, and emerging floral varieties to continuously inspire and elevate our creative offerings.
  • Prepare vases, containers, and all necessary mechanics (wiring, foam, tape) required for sophisticated floral compositions.

Secondary Functions

  • Mentor and provide constructive guidance to junior designers, interns, and floral assistants to foster team growth and skill development.
  • Assist in the creation of visual content, including styling and photographing arrangements for the company's website, social media channels, and marketing materials.
  • Support the visual merchandising of the retail space to create an inviting, on-brand customer experience that drives sales.
  • Participate in or lead floral design workshops and classes for clients and the public, sharing your expertise and passion for the craft.
  • Manage administrative duties related to order entry, client communication, and invoicing as needed to support the design process.
