Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw ingredients according to precise batch sheets and recipe specifications to ensure product consistency.
- Operate, monitor, and make minor adjustments to food processing and packaging machinery, including mixers, fillers, conveyors, and sealers.
- Adhere strictly to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines at all times.
- Perform routine in-process quality control checks, inspecting products for conformity to size, shape, color, weight, and overall quality standards.
- Load raw materials and packaging supplies into production equipment and unload finished goods for the next stage of the process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and production areas during and after shifts.
- Package, seal, and label finished products correctly, ensuring that date codes, lot numbers, and other information are accurate and legible for traceability.
- Efficiently palletize and stack finished cases of product, preparing them for shipment or transfer to the warehouse while ensuring pallet stability.
- Work effectively as part of a team on a fast-paced assembly line, rotating through various positions and tasks as directed by the line lead or supervisor.
- Immediately identify and report any equipment malfunctions, product quality deviations, or potential safety hazards to management.
- Complete all required production and quality assurance documentation, such as batch records and cleaning logs, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Safely handle and transport materials, ingredients, and finished products throughout the facility using manual pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Assist in the setup, breakdown, and changeover of production lines between different product runs, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
- Follow detailed verbal and written instructions from supervisors to execute daily production schedules and meet output targets.
- Sort, grade, and inspect food items, removing any defective or out-of-spec products from the production line.
- Ensure all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves, hairnets, and safety glasses, is worn correctly throughout the shift.
- Uphold all company safety policies and procedures, participating actively in safety training and contributing to a culture of safety.
- Monitor the flow of products on the conveyor system and manually adjust as needed to prevent jams and ensure a smooth process.
- Manage and properly dispose of production waste, rework, and recyclable materials in designated containers according to company policy.
- Check dates and rotate raw material stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to ensure freshness and reduce spoilage.
- Assist with basic preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment as trained and authorized by the maintenance department.
Secondary Functions

- Support the sanitation team with deep cleaning and sanitization activities during scheduled plant shutdowns.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)

- Experience with packaging, boxing, and palletizing finished goods.
- Ability to read and comprehend work orders, batch sheets, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Familiarity with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
- Competency in using manual material handling equipment, such as a pallet jack.
- Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other critical safety procedures.

Educational Background
