Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conceptualize, design, and implement user-centric, intuitive, and accessible digital forms and data capture experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Develop, test, and maintain complex, interactive, and dynamic PDF forms using tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, LiveCycle Designer, or AEM Forms.
- Translate business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications into high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and fully functional form prototypes.
- Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented JavaScript to handle form logic, calculations, data validation, and dynamic field behavior.
- Ensure all forms adhere to brand guidelines, style guides, and established design patterns for a consistent user experience.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure forms are usable and visually optimized across a variety of devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Conduct thorough usability testing and user research sessions to gather feedback and identify pain points in the data collection process.
- Iterate on form designs based on user feedback, analytics data, and A/B testing results to continuously improve completion rates and user satisfaction.
- Integrate forms with backend services, APIs, and databases to ensure seamless data submission, retrieval, and processing.
- Design and manage the information architecture for complex, multi-page forms and wizards, ensuring a logical and intuitive user flow.
- Implement robust client-side and server-side validation rules to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with business rules.
- Ensure all forms comply with accessibility standards, such as WCAG 2.1 AA, by using proper ARIA attributes, semantic HTML, and enabling keyboard navigation.
- Manage the full lifecycle of form assets, including version control, deployment, and archival within a content management system (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).
- Create and maintain a reusable component library for form elements (e.g., text inputs, dropdowns, date pickers) to streamline development and ensure consistency.
- Convert legacy paper-based or static digital forms into modern, interactive, and dynamic electronic formats.
