Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of individual franchise units, scrutinizing P&L statements, cash flow, and balance sheets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for profit improvement.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, including pro-forma projections, valuation, and ROI calculations, to support new franchise development, renewals, and resale transactions.
- Design, build, and maintain insightful dashboards and performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting key business drivers, unit-level performance, and system-wide trends using BI tools.
- Partner with the real estate and development teams by providing detailed demographic, psychographic, and competitive market analysis to validate and prioritize new potential franchise locations.
- Establish and manage a robust benchmarking program, comparing performance across franchise cohorts, regions, and against industry competitors to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
- Provide critical analytical support for the annual update of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), particularly for Item 19 (Financial Performance Representations), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, customer traffic, average ticket, and labor costs to provide franchisees with actionable insights for operational excellence.
- Support the franchise sales process by validating candidate financial qualifications and modeling potential earnings scenarios for prospective franchisees.
- Monitor and report on franchisee compliance with operational standards and financial reporting requirements as outlined in the Franchise Agreement, working with operations to address deficiencies.
- Evaluate the financial impact of new corporate initiatives, marketing campaigns, and pricing strategies on the franchise system before system-wide rollout.
- Prepare comprehensive business review presentations for executive leadership and franchisee committees, translating complex data into a clear and compelling narrative.
- Create sophisticated territory and market planning models to ensure optimal brand penetration and prevent cannibalization between franchise locations.
- Analyze royalty streams and other franchise-related revenues to forecast corporate income and model the impact of different fee structures.
- Act as a key analytical resource for Franchise Business Consultants, equipping them with the data they need to effectively coach and support their portfolio of franchisees.
Secondary Functions
