Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Greet every guest with a genuine smile and a warm, welcoming attitude to create a positive first impression and a friendly atmosphere.
  • Accurately and efficiently take customer orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all special requests, dietary needs, and modifications are noted.
  • Clearly communicate menu items, ingredients, and current promotions to assist guests in making informed and satisfying decisions.
  • Actively listen to guest feedback and concerns, demonstrating empathy and resolving issues promptly or escalating to a manager when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments accurately and responsibly, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments with precision and integrity.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift and follow all company cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation procedures.
  • Suggestively sell and upsell menu items, such as combos, desserts, or promotional specials, to enhance the guest experience and contribute to sales goals.
  • Assemble and package food and beverage orders with high attention to detail, checking for accuracy, proper temperature, and appealing presentation.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen crew to manage order flow, clearly communicate special requests, and ensure timely service for all dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru guests.
  • Manage the drive-thru window (if applicable), balancing a high speed of service with friendly interaction and meticulous order accuracy.
  • Answer the restaurant's phone line in a professional and courteous manner, addressing customer inquiries and taking phone orders as needed.
  • Manage and organize incoming orders from third-party delivery services (e.g., Uber Eats, DoorDash), ensuring they are prepared accurately and handed off to drivers efficiently.

Secondary Functions

  • Keep the front counter, lobby, and beverage station areas impeccably clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Perform regular cleaning duties as assigned, including wiping down tables, cleaning condiment stations, emptying trash receptacles, and maintaining restroom cleanliness.
  • Brew fresh coffee, prepare specialty beverages, and consistently restock supplies like napkins, straws, lids, and condiments to ensure they are always available for guests.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, glove use, and safe handling of ready-to-eat foods.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow team members and management to ensure a smooth, collaborative, and positive work environment.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures for the front-of-house, including setting up stations for success and performing thorough end-of-day cleaning tasks.
  • Proactively monitor the dining area to anticipate guest needs, offer assistance, and ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant atmosphere for everyone.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new products, operational procedures, and evolving service standards.
