Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Oversee the complete, end-to-end trade lifecycle, from execution and booking through to confirmation and final settlement, for a diverse range of financial instruments.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of cash balances, security positions, and transactions between our internal records, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
- Manage the daily affirmation and confirmation of trades using industry platforms such as DTCC, Omgeo CTM, and Traiana.
- Investigate and diligently resolve any trade discrepancies, settlement failures, or reconciliation breaks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Calculate, review, and validate the Net Asset Value (NAV) for various funds, ensuring the accuracy of pricing, accruals, fees, and P&L.
- Process and monitor all corporate actions, including dividends, interest payments, stock splits, and mergers, ensuring they are accurately reflected in the portfolio.
geo-political-economic - Handle the treasury and cash management functions, including processing wire transfers, managing FX hedging, and projecting daily cash needs.
- Manage collateral and margin requirements with counterparties, including processing margin calls and optimizing the use of collateral.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly performance and P&L reports to portfolio managers and senior management, providing insightful commentary on significant movements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports (e.g., Form PF, AIFMD Annex IV), and other compliance-related filings.
- Act as a primary operational point of contact for portfolio managers, traders, risk teams, and compliance, responding to inquiries and providing crucial support.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new funds, instruments, accounts, and counterparties, ensuring all operational workflows are correctly established.
- Liaise directly with auditors during year-end financial audits, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and walkthroughs of operational processes.
- Review and process fund expenses and invoices, ensuring they align with the fund's operating budget and legal documentation.
- Monitor counterparty risk and exposure, preparing regular summary reports for the risk management committee.
Secondary Functions
- Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve and automate workflows, enhancing scalability and reducing risk.
- Assist in the testing and implementation of new portfolio management systems, trading software, or other financial technologies.
- Maintain and update critical static and reference data for securities, accounts, and counterparties within the firm's core systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of operational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis for various internal teams.
- Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with business units to translate data needs into engineering requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies within the data engineering team.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and VBA macros for data manipulation and analysis.
- Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, particularly NAV calculation, P&L attribution, and financial statement preparation.
- Hands-on experience with portfolio management or accounting systems such as Advent Geneva, Eze, Black Mountain, or Aladdin.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and performing data extraction and analysis.
- Experience with industry-standard platforms and protocols, including Bloomberg Terminal, Omgeo CTM, DTCC, and SWIFT.
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate actions, collateral management, and treasury functions.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
