Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct the assigned table game with a high degree of proficiency, strictly adhering to all company policies, procedures, and jurisdictional gaming regulations.
- Manage all aspects of the game table, including controlling the pace of play to ensure an exciting and efficient experience for all players.
- Execute flawless and professional shuffling, cutting, and dealing of cards or operation of other game equipment (e.g., roulette wheel, craps dice).
- Accurately calculate, verify, and pay out winning wagers and collect all losing wagers, demonstrating quick mental arithmetic and precision.
- Handle player buy-ins by exchanging cash for gaming chips in a secure and procedural manner, announcing transactions clearly to supervisors and surveillance.
- Maintain constant awareness of all table activity to protect game integrity, identifying and reporting any irregularities, cheating, or suspicious play to the Floor Supervisor immediately.
- Clearly and patiently explain the rules of the game, betting options, and procedures to novice players to ensure they feel comfortable and included.
- Inspect all gaming equipment, including cards, dice, and layouts, before and during play to ensure they are free from tampering or defects.
- Maintain a high level of concentration and focus for extended periods in a fast-paced and often loud environment.
- Securely manage the table's chip tray (bankroll), processing fills and credits accurately in conjunction with the supervisory team.
- Demonstrate exceptional chip handling skills, including cutting chips, managing bets, and organizing the chip rack with speed and dexterity.
- Use established hand signals and verbal communication to signify game decisions and events to both players and supervisory personnel.
- Effectively manage multiple player actions simultaneously while maintaining control and accuracy of the game.
Secondary Functions
- Act as a frontline ambassador for the casino, creating a fun, entertaining, and engaging atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.
- Proactively greet guests, build rapport, and maintain positive, professional relationships with players at your table.
- Monitor guest behavior, identify potential issues such as excessive intoxication or distress, and discreetly notify a supervisor for intervention.
- Handle initial player disputes or complaints with professionalism and tact, attempting to resolve minor issues before escalating to a Floor Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the gaming table and your immediate work area at all times.
- Stay informed about current casino promotions, events, and loyalty club benefits, and actively promote them to guests.
- Participate in and successfully complete regular game proficiency auditions, procedural reviews, and ongoing training sessions.
- Provide support to fellow dealers and the pit team by rotating between games and tables as directed by the shift schedule.
- Adhere to all Title 31 and Bank Secrecy Act requirements, accurately reporting large cash transactions as per federal law.

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range: 0-2 years. Entry-level candidates who have successfully completed dealer school are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred: 1+ years of experience dealing in a live casino environment. Experience and proficiency in dealing two or more major games (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat) is highly desirable.
