Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Perform a wide variety of routine and preventative maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work to ensure facilities are well-maintained and fully operational.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance service requests, troubleshooting issues to determine the root cause and implementing effective, long-lasting repairs.
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaky faucets and pipes, clearing drains, and replacing or installing toilets, sinks, and other fixtures.
- Handle minor electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures, ballasts, outlets, and light switches while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Execute skilled carpentry work, from repairing and installing doors, windows, and cabinets to framing walls, building shelves, and installing trim and molding.
- Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces, including patching and repairing drywall, sanding, priming, and applying paint to create a clean, finished look.
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of flooring, including vinyl, tile, laminate, and carpet, ensuring a safe and even surface.
- Assemble, move, and install furniture, appliances, and equipment as directed, ensuring secure and correct placement.
- Conduct regular inspections of building interiors and exteriors to proactively identify potential issues, safety hazards, or needs for repair.
- Maintain the building's exterior, performing tasks like gutter cleaning, power washing, minor roof patching, and fence repair.
