Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Perform a comprehensive range of both elective and emergency surgical procedures on the abdomen, digestive tract, breast, endocrine system, skin, and soft tissues.
Diagnose a wide variety of diseases and disorders by conducting thorough physical examinations, reviewing patient medical histories, and interpreting complex diagnostic tests such as CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care plans, ensuring patients and their families are fully educated on the procedure and recovery process.
Provide expert surgical consultation to other physicians and specialists, evaluating patients to determine the need for and appropriateness of surgical intervention.
Manage critically ill and trauma patients, performing urgent surgical procedures to address life-threatening injuries and providing ongoing critical care management.
Execute advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures, to minimize patient trauma, reduce recovery time, and improve clinical outcomes.
Lead and direct the entire surgical team during operations, providing clear instructions and maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment.
Meticulously document all aspects of patient care, including history, physical exams, operative reports, and progress notes, within the electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely and accurate manner.
