Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Proactively greet, engage, and assist all guests with a positive and welcoming demeanor to create an exceptional first impression and shopping experience.
- Operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system with high accuracy to process a variety of transactions, including sales, returns, exchanges, and gift card purchases.
- Expertly handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring proper cash management, reconciliation, and adherence to all financial procedures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products, including their features, benefits, origins, and stories, to effectively answer customer questions and make personalized recommendations.
- Actively drive sales by up-selling and cross-selling merchandise, informing customers of current promotions, and effectively closing sales to meet or exceed individual and team targets.
- Uphold and execute visual merchandising standards by ensuring all displays are attractive, fully stocked, well-organized, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Diligently restock merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor throughout the day to maintain optimal product availability for customers.
- Assist in processing incoming inventory shipments, which includes unboxing, verifying packing slips, applying price tags, and preparing items for the sales floor.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire shop, including the sales floor, cash wrap area, stockroom, and any customer fitting rooms.
- Professionally answer the store's telephone, addressing customer inquiries, providing store information, and handling special requests with courtesy and efficiency.
- Provide personalized shopping assistance, helping customers locate specific items and offering solutions for out-of-stock products, such as suggesting alternatives or facilitating special orders.
- Handle customer issues and complaints with patience and professionalism, aiming for a swift and satisfactory resolution while escalating complex problems to management when necessary.
Secondary Functions
