Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Identify, scout, and evaluate emerging and established artists to determine their viability and draw within specific local or regional markets.
  • Develop and present compelling offers to booking agents, negotiating all critical deal points including artist fees, guarantees, percentages, and hospitality riders.
  • Create, manage, and meticulously track comprehensive event budgets, forecasting all potential revenue and expenses to ensure profitability and mitigate financial risk.
  • Secure and book appropriate venues for shows, negotiating rental agreements, date availability, and production capabilities to match the artist's needs and sales projections.
  • Design and execute innovative, multi-channel marketing and advertising strategies across digital (social media, email, PPC) and traditional (print, radio, grassroots) platforms to drive ticket sales.
  • Manage all aspects of event ticketing, including setting ticket prices, scaling the house, managing on-sale timelines, and coordinating with ticketing companies like Ticketmaster or Eventbrite.
  • Oversee the entire production and logistical process for show day, coordinating with venue staff, production managers, and tour managers to ensure a smooth and professional execution.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a wide network of key industry players, including booking agents, artist managers, venue operators, and media partners.
  • Direct on-site event operations, acting as the primary point of contact to resolve any issues that arise concerning artists, the venue, or patrons.
  • Conduct thorough post-event financial settlement, accurately calculating artist payouts based on ticket sales and contract terms, and finalizing all vendor payments.
  • Analyze ticket sales data and patterns in real-time to adjust marketing spend and strategy for optimal results.
  • Create and manage the production of all marketing assets, including ad copy, posters, digital graphics, and video content, ensuring brand consistency and a strong call-to-action.
  • Coordinate street team and grassroots promotional efforts, distributing posters and flyers to build local hype and community engagement.
  • Manage public relations for the event, including drafting press releases, securing media coverage, and arranging artist interviews.
  • Ensure all aspects of the artist's rider (both technical and hospitality) are fulfilled accurately and within budget.
  • Proactively source and develop relationships with potential sponsors and brand partners to generate ancillary revenue for events.
