Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Diligently assist lead technicians in the safe and efficient setup and breakdown of all job site equipment, including extension ladders, scaffolding, and water-fed pole systems.
- Accurately prepare and mix specialized cleaning solutions based on specific formulas, considering glass type, environmental conditions, and the nature of the grime.
- Meticulously clean all assigned ground-level and easily accessible interior/exterior windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using professional-grade squeegees and applicators.
- Act as the ground support for technicians working at heights, safely and promptly passing tools, equipment, and supplies as requested.
- Manage the organization and inventory of all tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies within the company vehicle, ensuring everything is accounted for and ready for use.
- Perform detailed final quality inspections on cleaned surfaces, meticulously wiping away any residual drips, streaks, or smudges from window frames, sills, and ledges.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated water-fed pole cleaning systems for low to mid-height windows, ensuring proper filtration and function for a spot-free rinse.
- Proactively secure the work area by deploying safety cones, caution tape, and wet floor signs to direct pedestrian traffic and prevent accidents.
- Assist with the physical loading, unloading, and transportation of heavy equipment between the company vehicle and the job site, adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Actively learn and apply a variety of cleaning techniques for specialized glass types, including tempered, tinted, low-E, and hydrophobic coated glass.
- Conduct thorough post-job site cleanup, ensuring the client’s property is left immaculate, with all debris, water, and equipment removed.
- Constantly monitor the condition of cleaning implements like squeegee rubber blades and applicator cloths, replacing them as they wear to maintain a high-quality finish.
- Provide detailed cleaning of window tracks, frames, and screens using brushes, vacuums, and specialized tools as part of a comprehensive service offering.
- Serve as a dedicated ground-level spotter, maintaining constant communication with and observation of technicians working at height to alert them to potential hazards.
- Gain proficiency in using basic hand tools for minor on-site adjustments or repairs to window hardware, screens, or fixtures.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the assigned company vehicle, both inside and out, restocking all necessary supplies at the end of each workday.

- Interact professionally and courteously with clients on-site, providing basic information about the work process and directing complex questions to the Lead Technician.

- Shadow experienced technicians to progressively learn advanced cleaning methods, rope access skills, and the operation of aerial lift equipment.
- Support the team by assisting with ancillary services, such as pressure washing of building facades, sidewalks, and patios, as project needs dictate.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team atmosphere by demonstrating a can-do attitude, offering assistance to teammates, and being receptive to feedback and instruction.
- Strictly adhere to all company policies, procedures, and government-mandated safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) to ensure personal and team safety at all times.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Ability to safely position, climb, and work from various types of ladders, including A-frame and extension ladders, up to a specified height.
- Fundamental proficiency in handling professional cleaning tools, including the proper use of a squeegee, mop applicator, and scraper for effective cleaning.
- Basic knowledge of chemical safety, including the ability to read labels and properly mix cleaning solutions according to directions.
