Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets related to global supply chain, logistics, and fulfillment operations to identify actionable trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance a suite of dashboards and recurring reports to track and visualize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost-per-unit, inventory turnover, and order-to-cash cycle times.
  • Conduct in-depth root cause analysis on operational failures or underperformance, presenting findings and recommending robust, scalable corrective actions to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, international teams—including Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Regional Operations—to understand their challenges and provide data-driven support.
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial and operational models to forecast demand, plan capacity, and assess the potential impact of new strategies or market changes.
  • Monitor global inventory levels and develop strategies for optimization, including safety stock calculations, reorder point analysis, and slow-moving or obsolete stock reduction.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly business review (QBR) process by preparing detailed performance analysis and narratives for executive leadership.
  • Evaluate the performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and other vendors against service level agreements (SLAs), and identify opportunities for negotiation or improvement.
  • Manage projects focused on operational system implementation or enhancement, ensuring requirements are met and go-live is successful.
  • Document end-to-end business processes and workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities for standardization and improvement across regions.
  • Translate qualitative business problems into quantitative analytical frameworks and communicate the results back to business leaders in a clear, concise manner.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes, investments in technology, or new vendor partnerships.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within operational systems (like ERP and WMS) by developing and implementing data governance standards and validation checks.
  • Stay abreast of global trade, compliance, and geopolitical issues that may impact the supply chain, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Provide analytical support for network-design studies to optimize the location of distribution centers, and manufacturing sites.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis from various business units to answer pressing operational questions.
  • Contribute to the organization's broader data strategy and roadmap by identifying new data sources and analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate their evolving data needs into clear technical requirements for IT or Data Engineering teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies as a key member of the operations or data team.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members or business users on operational reports and data tools.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all analytical models, dashboards, and reporting processes.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Data Analysis: Proven ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights, with a strong understanding of statistical concepts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel: Mastery of Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and building interactive models. VBA/macro experience is a strong plus.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Proficiency in developing dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or Looker.
  • SQL Proficiency: The ability to write efficient and complex SQL queries to extract and aggregate data from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift).
  • ERP/WMS Systems: Experience working with and extracting data from enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Process Improvement Methodologies: Familiarity with frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement disciplines.
  • Project Management: Foundational knowledge of project management principles and experience using tools like Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet.
  • Statistical Programming (Preferred): Basic to intermediate knowledge of a scripting language like Python (with Pandas, NumPy) or R for data cleaning, analysis, and automation is highly desirable.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
