Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex, multi-faceted global projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project charters and plans, including detailed scope, work breakdown structures, timelines, resource allocation models, and budget forecasts for large-scale international initiatives.
  • Act as the central point of contact and communication hub for all project stakeholders, facilitating seamless alignment and information flow across diverse, geographically dispersed teams and time zones.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing robust contingency plans to minimize impact on project delivery and business objectives.
  • Manage and control multi-million dollar project budgets, meticulously tracking expenditures, reporting on financial performance, and ensuring strict adherence to financial goals.
  • Define, document, and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, implementing structured change control processes.
  • Establish and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and global vendors.
  • Provide regular, transparent, and insightful status updates, performance reports, and executive-level presentations on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate and lead highly cross-functional teams—spanning engineering, marketing, sales, legal, finance, and operations—to ensure cohesive execution of all project deliverables.
  • Drive the full lifecycle of international vendor and partner management, from selection and negotiation to contract management and performance oversight.
  • Champion and implement project management best practices, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and tools to enhance organizational efficiency and project execution on a global scale.
  • Ensure all project activities and outcomes comply with international regulations, local legal requirements, data privacy laws (like GDPR), and internal company policies.
  • Facilitate highly effective global project meetings, steering committee reviews, and strategic workshops, ensuring clear objectives, active participation, and documented action items.
  • Translate complex business requirements from various global markets into actionable project plans and technical specifications for successful implementation.
  • Manage the intricate interdependencies between multiple concurrent projects within a global program or portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and optimal resource utilization.
  • Navigate and resolve conflicts within project teams and among stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment that respects cultural differences.
  • Conduct thorough post-project evaluations and "lessons learned" sessions to identify successes and failures, capturing insights to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Develop and execute robust change management strategies to ensure the smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or products resulting from project completion.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success and demonstrate the value and ROI of project investments.
  • Travel internationally as required (up to 20%) to oversee key project milestones, engage with regional teams, and manage critical stakeholder relationships in person.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is strongly preferred.
  • PM Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven ability in budget management, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and resource planning.
  • Methodology Expertise: Deep understanding and practical application of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies in a hybrid environment.
